Why do you have to break in Nitro engine?
During break-in, deposits build up and can foul out the glow plug, so your engine might seem like it’s stalling or not running properly. This is normal. Proper break-in alleviates these symptoms.

Brushed motor life is limited by the brush type and can attain 1,000 to 3,000 hours on average, while brushless motors can attain tens of thousands of hours on average, as there are no brushes to wear. The limiting factor is the wear on the bearings.
How can I make my nitro engine faster?
If you are running 20% nitro in your engine you can easily increase top speed by increasing the nitro content of your fuel. As you increase fuel percentage, you may have to adjust the head shims under your heat sink head accordingly. The higher the nitro content the more shims you need to install.
