How do you get selected for the National Youth leadership Forum on Medicine?
The first step to applying for an NYLF program is to be nominated or nominate yourself. You may have heard of NYLF because you were nominated as a potential candidate for the program. You can be nominated by a teacher, leader from a youth organization, counselor, or through certain talent development programs.
Why should I attend a leadership conference?
Leadership conferences emphasize growth in all sorts of skills. You will be encouraged to work on both intrapersonal and interpersonal skills so that someday you might be an effective leader. You’ll learn helpful public speaking tips as well as get multiple chances to practice your new skills before you return home!
Is it hard to get invited to Nylf?
However, there are no admission criteria for NYLF. Anyone who is currently a high school student can register for and attend an NYLF program. You don’t need to have a certain GPA, extracurriculars, or leadership experience. These letter you receive is sent to thousands of students.
Who gets invited to Nylf?
To attend NYLF Medicine, you must be in grades 9-11 during the 2021-2022 school year. Most of our students are either nominated by educators or selected through our academic partnerships; however, we do accept a limited number of students through our competitive application process.

A leadership conference can truly encourage and inspire you. Undoubtedly, you’ll return to the office with new ideas and ways to motivate your employees. You’ll benefit by hearing the thoughts of other leaders and receive practical advice from them. And that can only make you a better leader!
Is the Nylf program worth it?
I highly recommend this program. It’s worth every penny. Our 10 yr old son was nominated to attend the Envision Pathways to STEM camp this summer. It was very well organized, had plenty of curriculum and content for a solid week of learning but didn’t feel like school.

Is the Nylf legit?
Yes! The programs offered through the NYLF are legit and do help high schoolers prepare for several specific career fields. Just like other summer college experiences, the programs open students up to a slice of college life and engage them in coursework in their field of interest.
