All solicitors are required to undertake a minimum of 20 hours Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in each practice year. Of those minimum 20 hours, a minimum of 15 must be verifiable CPD.

Verifiable CPD is activity that meets our definition of CPD and for which there is documentary evidence that you have undertaken the CPD and that the CPD has: ■ concise educational aims and objectives; ■ clear anticipated outcomes; and ■ quality controls. This is set out in law.
