HERCULINER can be applied with a soft paint brush in two coats at right angles to one another. (HERCULINER is not a paint, and should be laid onto the surface, in one direction, not brushed out as an oil or latex paint.) Between coats, clean brush only with recommended thinner/cleaner Xylene (Xylol).
Can you tint Herculiner?
Yes, you can paint over Herculiner.
Can you change the color of bedliner?
After your base bedliner application is complete, you simply apply the colored bedliner topcoat customized to your specific color choice. The topcoat is not a paint, but rather, additional polyurea bedliner material.
Can you paint bed liner?
Truck bed coatings can be painted. Try to apply the paint within 24 hours of the truck bed coating becoming dry to the touch. If you’ve waited longer than 24 hours to paint the truck bed, remember to clean the surface before applying the paint. Do not mix any paint colors into the truck bed coating before applying it.
How much does one gallon of Herculiner cover?
One quart covers a flat area of about 15 square feet. One gallon covers 55 to 60 square feet, with a final dry coat thickness of 1/16 – 1/32 of an inch. Be thoroughly cleaned with a muriatic acid wash.
