Can I leave my car in NCP overnight?
Yes, you’re able to park your vehicle overnight in most of our car parks, but please refer to the opening times of the specific car park using our find a car park feature.
Can you stay longer than 24 hours in NCP?
If you’ve paid for a 24 hour stay and you wish to extend this, you can simply top-up your stay at the standard tariff price. The tariff prices will reset after 24 hours, these prices can be seen on the tariff board in the car park or online.

Do you pay when you leave NCP?
These car parks will be barrier car parks where you need to pay when you leave the car park, either at a pay machine when you’re ready to leave or at the exit barrier with a debit or credit card.
Do NCP car parks have CCTV?
Each car park will have its own security requirements, and we deploy CCTV in many to help us run our car parks effectively.
Is it cheaper to pre-book NCP car park?
In most cases it is. However sometimes, the Pre-book price may be the same as or more expensive than the price on the tariff board. E.g. at airports, the Pre-book price is dynamic, as it’s affected by market conditions. You can check our website for the tariff prices for all NCP operated car parks.

What happens if I dont pay NCP?
We don’t have your contact details in relation to your parking session, only your vehicle registration number. If you forget to pay within 24 hours, you’ll be liable to receive a Parking Charge Notice, so it’s important you set yourself a reminder to pay if you choose to Pay Later online.
Can you leave an NCP car park and return?
You can return and exit later than the time on your booking. However, if you do overstay, we’ll charge the standard tariff for the car park as outlined in our Pre-book terms and conditions. The overstay is calculated and charged at the exit barrier where you can pay by credit/debit card.
Can local authorities use ANPR in car parks?
In car parks where enforcement is undertaken using 1984 Act powers, which pre-dates Civil Parking Enforcement, local authorities may in principle use ANPR or other cameras which they deem suitable for the purposes intended for such cameras.
How do I pay at NCP?
Our pay machines in ticketless car parks do not accept cash. You need a debit/credit card to pay in ticketless car parks. If you don’t have one on you, you can use a contactless payment device at the machine, or you can Pay Later online within 24 hours of driving out the car park.
