How did they make BB-8 in Star Wars?
By introducing a motor-driven pendulum inside a ball, they were able to create the large spherical wheel that the character sped about on. At the top of the pendulum appears to be a plate fitted with magnets that allow the droids head to be attached so that appears to float on top of the main ball.
How does BB-8’s head stay on?
