The grid only shows up to 16 Companions, but rest assured you’ll end up with many more Companions as you progress along. Once you get your 17th Companion you’ll be able to flip between pages of all your Companions. As a Companion joins you, they are added to the end of your Companions list.
How do you get the Batacuda companion?
If you look at your quest rewards listed in your quest log for that quest, it may show that you will get a battacuda companion as a reward. Someone in the Gold Mine (Nikolaus Amarillo, I believe) gives you a quest to collect bananas. Once you do that, he will give you the quest that gives the Batacuda.
What levels do companions get epics?
Companions will receive epics when they’re recruited, after completing a promotion for them, and every 20 levels starting at level 15 (level 35, level 55, etc.).

Speak to your Companion to begin their promotion quest. Once you complete the quest, return to any tavern cellar to talk to the Companion again and they’ll be promoted. Upon promotion, they’ll look different, and they may also be eligible to learn new Epic Powers or Talents.
How do you beat the old scratch?
Prioritize Old Scratch first. Ignore Mr. Neville’s healing powers and just take him out as fast as possible, before he can kill off half your crew. If you don’t have Nausica and/or Goronado, choose companions that can travel a lot of distance in a short time, or can attack from just as far.
How do you beat the old scratch in pirate101?
Use Nausica’s Centaur’s Charge to get close to Old Scratch, than bombard him with her criticals. For Goronado, keep moving forward until you can hit Old Scratch from behind Mr. Neville with Mighty Charge. But do NOT let him near Bones McCoy.
Can you beat Pirate101 solo?
Yes! Even Witchdoctor. You read that right. All the 5 classes can solo anything BUT, you’ll need to play carefully and watch your step, especially when soloing with squishy classes like Witchdoctor, or even Musketeer.
What epics give old scratches?
I suggest training the Epics Mojo Echo 3, Improved Mojo Blast 2, Coward’s Bane 1 and Witch Hunter 1. As for Talents, I recommend Accurate 4, Spirited 4, Spooky 4 and Tough 3 or 4 (if you choose to train Tough 3, Resistant 1 is a good option).
How do you solo Kane?
This is where your Kraken and Fort comes in, (make sure you use them while in hidden) Kane can do 1,800 damage, but with both a Fort and Kraken, he only hits for 450 instead, if you do get down to Elusive 2 and/or Elusive 3, it’s gg for Kane. And voila! That’s how I soloed Kane!
