Does Sonarworks work for headphones?
One of the things that sets Sonarworks Reference apart is that it’s flexible enough to deal with both headphones and studio monitors, and works both as a plug-in and a convenient universal driver.
How do you reference tracks when mastering?
Choose reference tracks that are in the same genre as the mix you’re working on. Choose reference tracks with similar instrumentation and sounds to the mix you’re working on. Use reference tracks that you think sound amazing. If possible, select reference tracks that have had commercial success.
What is headphone calibration?
Calibration is done to identify the output voltage of the headphone amplifier that corresponds to a certain sound pressure level (SPL) at the output of the headphones. This nominal sound pressure level is maintained as long as the output voltage of the headphone amplifier is not changed.
How do I add headphones to Sonarworks?
In order to access them, use the option Add Headphones from the Calibration profile drop-down menu. Now browse through the list, select your headphones and select it. This will throw you back to the “Add Preset” menu.
