Are ScotRail trains running on Sunday?
ScotRail strikes have stopped the majority of train travel around Scotland every Sunday since April 28 2021. The only services that have remained running are those in and around Glasgow, with almost 90% of Sunday trains disrupted by the action.
Is ScotRail back to normal?
More than 90% of normal services are in operation, with 100% of normal capacity provided during peak travel hours. We’ve also moved to a minimum of one metre physical distancing on trains and at stations.

How much do ScotRail drivers earn?
ScotRail pay is £27,483 during the first year of intensive training. As a newly qualified driver the salary is £38,194, after 6 months £40,792 and after 9 months £43,810. On successful completion of all training and the probation period, the salary is £48,360 a year.
Can I eat on ScotRail trains?
On trains with a catering service, you’ll get a free hot or soft drink and a sweet or savoury snack for the journey. You can also buy refreshments from the trolley service.

Can I use my bus pass on trains in Scotland?
The card gives holders free bus travel in Scotland and, through the Strathclyde Concessionary Travel Scheme, reduced fares on trains and Subway in the Strathclyde area. If you live on an island or peninsula within Strathclyde you can also receive reduced ferry fares with a Strathclyde Concessionary Travel Ferry Card.
