The price of a first class stamp will rise by 10p to 95p as Royal Mail seeks to cover higher delivery costs while the number of letters being sent falls. Second class stamps will also increase by 2p to 68p, with the new prices coming into effect on 4 April.

Do 1st class stamps expire UK?
Warning: Stamps that say ‘1st’ or ‘2nd’ class are going to become unusable from 31 January 2023. Royal Mail is shaking up the rules on stamps, so if you’ve got a stash that say ‘1st’ or ‘2nd’ class on them then by 31 January 2023 you’ll no longer be able to simply stick ’em on a letter and use them.
Can I use last years Christmas stamps?
Also, although Christmas Stamps are being barcoded, previous years of non-barcoded Christmas Stamps will remain valid as postage after 31 January 2023 — so there is no requirement to swap them out.
